Introduction
Importing for the first time usually takes a while. After the first import is complete, subsequent imports will be much quicker.
Importing a file
Importing a file is simple, after selecting the date you wish to import for, you'll be presented with a page containing all the pre-defined chart of accounts. If this needs to be changed please contact your administrator or raise a ticket here. In the panel to the right, you'll see a drop down asking you to select your financial system. Once an option is selected from the drop down, a button with the words "Choose File.." will appear, allowing you to select the file for upload. Once the file is selected the "Import" button will become active, allowing you to import the file and then move onto mapping. If you are unsure who your financial partner is or they aren't on the list, please contact us. Our importer uses strict formatting, if your file is formatted incorrectly it may refuse to upload or the content it uploads may be incorrect. If you have an issue with the importer or would like to review the file formats, please raise a support ticket.
Mapping Accounts
Once a file is imported, each of the accounts needs to be mapped to its corresponding account on our system. Simply drag the account from the panel on the right to the account that best represents this value. Once the value is mapped, check if the number matches the one from the import, if the mapped number was a credit but came up as negative, simply click the account it's mapped to, from here you'll be able to review all the accounts mapped here. Clicking the tick box to the right of any of the maps will inverse the number, making a negative a positive and vice versa. Once all of this is complete, clicking "Save and Continue" will allow you to move onto the next section of mapping for non-periodic values.
